Comparative Morphology on Parent and Embryo of Tetilla australe in Korea

Abstract
Tetilla australe Bergquist, an unreported spicies in Korea, was examined with respect to its morphology of the parent and embryo. As the pattern of reproduction in this species has been known yo be viviparous, larval stages were not found within the endosome.
The shape and size of the spicules of the parent were compared with those embryo.
With the exception of sigmaspirae spicules, 4 diffrent types of spicules were 4 to 5 fold larger in the parent than in the embryo. From the comparison of our data with those of Bergquist(1968), it seems to be likely that spicules grow in size as development proceeds.
